How to Measure

When measuring your windows for Window Fashion, it's best to use a steel tape measure to help insure accurate measurements.
Measure your windows to the nearest eighth of an inch at the TOP, MIDDLE and BOTTOM / RIGHT, CENTER and LEFT. For inside mount, take the width's narrowest measurement from the three measurements taken, and the longest measurement for the length. Outside mount, take the widest measurement for the width and longest measurement for the length (taken from your three width and length measurements). You indicate after your measurement whether or not the size is inside or outside mount. Noteing the measurement is inside mount lets the manufacturer know that they will need to take the standard deduction for your measurement, outside mount, no deduction is taken. The standard deduction is contingent on which manufacturer you go with, along with what product you have chosen.

Inside Mount - Inside of the window casing/ Minimum of 1" depth (for most products).

Outside Mount - Mounted on your trim or drywall/ (generally)1" wider on each side (if there are no obstructions). Note: on doors, avoid contact with handle, measure above glass 2 ½" and 1" below for hold down brackets)
